So far, so good. We had a nice dinner at the Melting Pot. Very nice atmosphere, fantastic food, but expensive. It was worth every penny though. Just not enough cash to float those kind of dinners all the time.

The car is doing well. She was repainted back in September to Spinnaker Blue Metallic. I also installed a new grille for the 93-94 Altimas, and a factory spoiler. Since then the car has been backed into and the wind blew the basketball pole onto the trunk. The bumper was fixed and I have yet to take it in for the pole damage. I have installed a set of Jim Wolf S1 cams and hope to install the cam gears also. I have also just purchased a Craftsman powder coater and oven. I have coated my valve cover a nice black and plan on doing the same to some other small parts under the hood. I have yet to return to the dyno for new numbers but hopefully before summer I can get in some dyno and track time.

I have been hired by Health First. They are a large medical association with 3 hospitals, 2 gyms, and hundreds of doctors offices. I will work as a Workstation Specialist. This just means that I help my team keep all of the computer equipment online for all of our locations. I start in 9 days. I am very excited.

It has been cold the last couple of days here. Now I know that 50 isn't that cold but when you're used to 80 degree weather, it's just too cold.

One of my best friends has taken up shelter with us. I must say it is a lot of fun having someone around that shares a lot of the same intrests. Sometimes we just watch car videos until 2 in the morning. Drives my wife nuts, but at least she doesn't have to try and talk cars with me anymore. She says they all sound the same anyway, I say that her shoes all look alike and she doesn't need anymore.

More to come. I guess I will need to blog a few times to get caught up. Quick run down- car upgrades, got a room mate, looking for a job, and it has been cold. Will address each of these in the near future. I write this on the verge of having to throw up for a 5th time today. This is a descriptive story, be warned. Background story: We were invited to a friends house warming party. These guys are just plain funny. Always have a good time with them. They just remodeled their house after last years hurricanes tore ass through here. Before we left I promised myself I would take it easy in the alcohol department. Although the house is 1/2 mile from mine, I just wanted to have fun. Well upon arrival I took my promise, balled it up and put it under the keg. That is where it remains to this minute. I warmed up with about 5 tall drafts from the keg. I do not drink much anyway but keg beer always fucks me up faster. Mistake one. Now Pete makes me aware of a bottle of Jagermeister. If I have one weakness in the liquor department it falls under Jager bombs. For the uninformed, that is a shot of Jager drowned in a glass of Red Bull. Mistake two. The rest of the night goes downhill from here.

Although I managed to stay coherent the whole night and my sober wife drove me home, I downed 1/2 that bottle in under an hour. Now I am home. It gets worse, I start to fade in and out. I lay down and immediately run to the bathroom. I spend the next 2 hours off and on the toilet. During most of that time I am cuddling a trash can in my arms as a small child does their favorite teddy bear. I hobble out to the living room, trash can in clutch, I figured if I vomit no sense in waking the woman kind enough to drive me home and let me sleep inside. Zero hour approaches, I am on my knees next to my coffee table damn near making love to this white bathroom waste basket. My stomach now wishes to refresh me of the contents inside. Blood rushes to my face and I begin to tingle. Vomiting always takes it out of me, in more ways than one. Not to mention next to Chinese Water Torture, vomiting is on my list of least favorite things to do, Ever!

Knowing I can not allow the waste receptacle, which is now 5 or 6 pound heavier, to remain inside the house, I stumble through the garage and place it outside. I return to bed. I manage to sleep 3 hours at which point I awake from thirst. The Sahara desert was more moist at high noon than I was. I manage to make it to the kitchen and acquire some water. 20 minutes later I get to see the water again, this time it contains a nice shade of yellow. Back to the living room. I watch a pastor on TV as I await the sunrise. Round three basically comes 30 minutes later and involves lots of heaving and more yellow stuff. When I look in the mirror I see the blood has rushed to my face and my cheeks are numb and tingley. I return to bed, it is now 7 a.m. and the birds are mocking me through the window. During the next 60 minutes I manage to awake every 3 minutes. I had some of the worst nightmares and haunting images dance through the skull. I return to the living room, familiar scene. I am up 2 minutes and it is a mad dash for the bathroom. I manage to strain every abdominal muscle known to man and you guessed it, more yellow stuff. My whole body becomes numb and tingley.

From 8 to 9:30 I spend time in front of the TV watching Ready to Rumble, hyperventilating, numb and tingley. I do not know what was wrong with me, I became very afraid that something could be wrong. At the end of Ready to Rumble, when the King acquires the belt, I find myself crying in joy, like a little girl. I can't breath right, can't assemble a thought in my head and surely can not speak right. I panic, this is the worst thing you can do while hyperventilating. I awake the wife, I needed someone to watch over me. The rest of the morning goes about with me breathing in a paper bag waiting for feeling to return to my skin, hands, face, and feet. All while battling the notion I could vomit for a 5th time at any second.

The whole time this was happening I accepted the after effects of the Jager, after all don't do the crime if you can't do the time. I welcomed my vomiting with open arms as a form of punishment. The wife also tells me that while I was utterly trashed, I behaved myself. **Pats self on back!** The problem I had with this whole event was my selfishness. I am so angry with my actions. This my strike some of you as odd, but it kills me to think that during these past few hours I would have been helpless to defend my wife and my castle. I am my wifes first line of defense. I am a good size man, 6'5", so in the dark I would come off a bit scary. I also own a firearm loaded with hollow points. This is because my State says if you are trespassing in my home I have the right to pump your guts full of lead, well copper coated lead. Make no mistake, I have thought through this long and hard, if you are trespassing with the intent to harm my wife, I will look you dead in the eye and blow your fucking head off your shoulders. I have 18 friends just waiting to meet you. I also have 60 other friends waiting to be loaded. When the coroner arrives, he will mop you up with a sponge and I will paint over your high velocity blood spatter (damn you CSI). I am capable of shooting the nipples off a target at 25 feet, and in most home invasions the bad guy is within 12 feet.

It kills me to think I left her without a moat around her castle. I spent the last 8 hours accepting my punishment for the Jager. I will spend the next month begging for her forgiveness in this matter. I find it very unacceptable. Zrow out, maybe to vomit again.

New Photos and Dyno Chart

This past weekend I managed to install a new factory style front bumper and grille. The bumper was crack and the paint was flaking off and the grille was replaced with a 93-94 model year grille. The 93-94 was more open and looks much more sporty. I think I will be dropping the car off for paint this weekend and then 7 days later she will be like a new ride.

I also managed some fresh photos of the engine bay that now houses the new goodies. It looks so purty. The only other change will be the yellow intake piping will be treated to a fresh coat of black. I had yellow as the color scheme but it won't quite match the new paint. I will also included a new dyno chart showing 179hp and 213 ft-lbs of torque. I will dyno again in the fall to show the MSD and 75 shot jet changes. I am shooting to break 200 whp. I was out with a good friend of mine last night (1:30 a.m.) and on the way back to his home we took the highway. The on-ramp was long and straight. It has been 4 years since I have taken the car that fast. It has on occasion hit 100-110 mph. Last night I hit the highway from the on-ramp at 100mph and we shut it down at about 130mph. Four years ago the car lacked most of it's performance mods and it took quite sometime to reach those upper speeds. Now I understand the car is not a Corvette and we had the windows down (additional drag), but that thing pulled strong all the way through 4th gear (ends at 128mph). What a rush. I blew by a semitruck at 130mph! I cannot imagine what it was like for him to see me cruise by at 60mph faster than him. I touched 130 and then let off and slowed it up to a respectable 82. Now had I passed a cop going either direction I would not be writing this currently as I am sure 60 over gets you a nights stay in jail, an impounded car, and a laundry list of other problems. This is why it has been several years since such a foolish act has been done. In the end all I can say is "It was AWESOME!" My buddy had just as much fun as I did, we laughed like little girls for the next 20 minutes. We got to his house and he says "Do you realize that we covered 4 miles in about 90 seconds?" What fun. It was 96 degrees on the dyno and about 100 outside. We only had 2 small mishaps. The first was early in the day when the dyno operator accidentally put a '76ish Camaro in reverse at about 10 mph. Later in the dyno a new Civic Si Turbo walked off the rollers at 30-35 mph due to improper strapping. No one or the vehicles seemed to be injured, so all in all it could have been much worse. I made a gain since the last dyno, an additional 6hp and 6ft-lbs for a total of 180hp and 213ft-lbs to the front wheels. Not to mention the air temps were 26 degrees hotter. I did not have a chance to compare CAI to WAI on the bottle as they weren't allowing changes to be made on the dyno.

I have purchased and installed a MSD Digital 6+ ignition system in the car. This allows the use of the 75 shot jets and running advanced timing off the bottle. When I arm the nitrous system and rpm's reach 2,000 the 6 retards the timing 6 degrees. 2 degrees for the advance and 4 for the nitrous. I have tested the retard function and all seems well. The next step is to install the 75 shot jets and hit the streets for a few test runs. The MSD also provides a larger, hotter spark for more complete combustion. I hope that with the upped shot and Digital 6 I should be able to break the 200whp barrier. There is also the possibility of adding new camshafts to the car. Crower is working on a set of cams for the 240sx and there is a chance of cross platforming them to the Altima. These will add an additional 15whp to the total.

Breaking 200 whp does not seem like much of an accomplishment but considering the platform and lack of aftermarket for the 1st generation Altima this is huge. These vehicles make 125hp/tq to the wheels from the factory. This is a 55 hp gain and 88ft-lb gain and I haven't even dynoed the 75 shot jets yet. As a comparison a 1992 Mustang GT with similar bolt-ons and a hot cam only put down 178 hp. This is a 5.0 litre beast and I made more hp and almost as much torque, about 20ft-lbs less, from only 4 cylinders and half the cubic inches. With this vehicle weighing in at more than 200 pounds over my car, I think this would be a good race.

A review of the car with the 6 and the 75 shot to come, as well as a new photo or 2 of the 6 and engine bay. The air filter was black and nasty from the road dirt and rain. Got a nice 3" x 8" real K&N filter. It just fit into the wheel well. Put a new set of NGK BKR6E plugs in, fresh oil and filter change, new fuel filter, and refilled the bottle.

Tommorow I am meeting up with some guys from Brevard Motor Sports for a Dyno day at White's Garage. They have they only local permanent Dyno Jet within a short drive. There should be 16 cars to dyno, so it should be a fun filled day. I am going to try to record the dyno action, so maybe I can host some video of the fun in the future. I will be running the new NX jets to see how they compare to the Zex jets. I am shooting for a small gain over my previous runs due to the jet change.

On Wednesday I attempted to skin a knuckle on my right hand. We were installing a large steel racking system (12ft. tall, 1800 lbs.) when I slipped while tightening a bolt and hit the sharp steel edge. Cut was deep, you could see way down into it. It took 2 hours to stop bleeding and it could have used a stich or two or three. Well I just wrapped it tight and it will heal. I will have a bump where the skin will heal unevenly, but scars have character and cool stories. Will post up after the dyno, wish me luck. She keeps me going, she is the fire beneath my proverbial ass.

Now lets talk about their beauty. They are naturally the most beautiful women out there. They do not need makeup to make them gorgeous, they can do their hair and go out looking stunning. The red hair commands attention and gives direction to move out of her way. Their skin is of the most innocent, natural shade.

Every Superman has his kryptonite, this is mine. I am weak to the color of her hair and have no strength against the milky tone of her flesh. They are goddesses amongst mere women, just look at the structure. Too bad we are already up to our necks in the rainy season. Summer just makes for very hot, very muggy days. This is my favorite place. I would not want to live anywhere else. It is just 3 months, then it becomes bearable again.

We are about 75% complete on the roof gables. I can only work a few short hours on the roof. It is just so hot up there. Your feet are sizzling on the roof and the sun is cooking your from the top. I try to work in the evenings when I get home from work, but I only get about 90 minutes of good sunlight. Once the sun starts to set you become the human buffet for the bugs. With all the rain we have been getting, the news has been blasting about West Nile Virus from mosquito's and to try and avoid them. So I will.

Still have not returned to the track. Going on 8 weeks of rained out Wednesdays. Eventually I will return. On a positive note, the wife said should would ride shotgun during one of my passes. That made me very excited. She will get to experience the juice for the 1st time in a full 1/4 mile pull. I let you know if she survives. It's my damn blog. My cousin just purchased a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I will say that it is a nice SUV, this coming from the hater of all SUV's. Rode very nice and handled well for a SUV. He brought it over last night and we put on a new serpentine belt and new brake pads all the way around. He got a nice deal for the vehicle and it only has 72,000 miles on it.

Work is going well. We just leased our 6,000 sq. ft. building for our new Stone Shop. This means we will fabricate our own stone countertops. Stone products like Granite, Zodiaq, and others. This will keep me very busy for the next several months as there is lots to do. Building prep, equipment purchases, installs, and training, hiring of new people, and learning the tips and tricks of the trade to name a few. Not to mention of digital templating program that we still have to learn and use. I am actually very excited about this project, this is something I have been involved with from the beginning (November '04) and it is my baby, so seeing it come together is just peachy. So when it is up and running, myself and another guy will be running the place.

Well summer is upon us and this means that the hair has to go. It just gets too hot and humid to keep a mop on my head. Besides it is cheaper to do it myself. Yesterday was the first day it over a week it didn't rain here. But 30 minutes up the road at my house it poured, and Orlando got hail, poor bastards. Of course today, the day I want to go to the track and race, we have a 70% chance of storms and it looks like it will come true. So again for the 7th time in 7 weeks I am getting the Wednesday shaft from Mother Nature.

So I get to work this morning and decide to do the random blog search at the top of the blog page and boy that was different. So many blogs for selling shit, mortgages, loans, cameras, blah blah blah. There were also many blogs from around the world, many of which were in a foreign language so they didn't mean much to me. I came across one that had a funny little GIF image that I could not read so I clicked on profile. No photos of the person but I saw something. This 20 year old girl put under her favorites "fucking". Now in this day in age where all women do is bitch about being portrayed as sluts and whores she goes and puts an open for business sign right on her blog. Now don't get me wrong, I also would put that under my list of favorite things to do, but as a guy I can get away with that, and besides I am married. Maybe she is too, but it just seems a little whorish to advertise such a thing. Sure you could go on to explain or excuse her statement but I think that is something a woman should keep private, maybe it is just the way I was raised. It was like Dave Chappel had in his recent TV stand up, if you are in a whores uniform, you will be taken for a whore.

Hope you like rain and lots of it!?

Well it has been raining here for the last 4 days. I almost forgot what the sun looks like. It has still been very humid though which is strange. Usually when it rains the humidty backs off some. I have been working on the house gables some more. We have completed 2 1/2 sides and have 1 1/2 left to go. Then trim and paint and I will be finished with that project and it is on to the fence. After the fence the wife has a laundry list of things to do inside the house. This stuff never stops. When it is finished (HAHA) it will be our place with our decorating touch, so it will be worth it in the end.

The car is working well. I ordered new NX nitrous jets for the kit. After some research I found that NX has the markets best available jets. The spent hours designing and CNC maching the jets. This results in a jet that outflows the competition upto 35%. Plus the step the funnels for smoother increased flow. NX also rates thier jets at the wheels where as everyone else rates at the flywheel. You ask "Why does this matter?" and I will asnwer. The difference is simple. Ratings at the wheels or WHP accounts for drive train loss. The flywheel power or FWHP is measured at the flywheel, only stating what power an engine makes. These numbers are higher than WHP because the only mass that is rotating is the motor. WHP takes into account the power lost by moving the drivetrain. A typical car losses 12-24% of it's power through the drivetrain. A manual losses less than an automatic because there are less parts to move. So it your manufacturer says Vehicle A makes 200FWHP, on average an automatic car transfers 164 to the wheels to move the car and a manual will put 172 to the wheels. This is why the manuals are a bit quicker in Magazine testing. So why all this mumbo jumbo? Zex rates thier jets at the flywheel, while NX rates them at the wheels. NX takes into account drive train loss and because of better design they just out flow the competition. So after having my Zex kit dynoed, it put down an increase of 36 whp, and the jets are rated 55hp. So maybe the NX jets at 50 hp will make more whp. All in due time. Just got back from a trip to Maryland. My little brother is now a college graduate. Out of 7 grandchildren, 4 of us have college educations, including myself of course. 1 more will definitely make it in 2 years, and the other 2 will get there eventually. So with any hope my grandparents will see all of their grandchildren obtain higher education.

I have made some changes to the car, as always I just can't leave it alone. I figured out that the SAFC was keeping the car in high idle when I would try to set the timing. I created a jumper wire for the SAFC to allow me to disable it during the timing process. I run a safe 16d BTDC for the newly installed 75 shot. Let me tell you what, those extra 20 ponies are even more fun than the original 55. I hope to make it to the track I the next few weeks. For some reason it refuses to rain any other day but Wednesday, so I have been out of luck. I put the Zex spark plugs back in and the car seems to be getting the old better gas mileage back. That has more to do with the fact I was running 27d advance instead of 20d. Although the car never knocked, I think it was lighting off to soon to get a complete burn. I still long for my MSD Digital 6, but all in due time.

During my trip I had the chance to visit Washington DC again. I haven't been there in 5 years or so. The weather was perfect for a day of walking. We stopped at the National Archives and got to see The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution. It was awesome to see the original documents that this country is built on. They had a copy of the first 10 amendments including my favorite #2, the right to bare arms.

It was neat to be around buildings that were completely constructed of stone block. I couldn't imagine the painstaking process of moving and installing all that weight. But here we are hundreds of years later and it all is still standing.

We also stopped by the White House to get a few pictures. We were there about 4 minutes and the Secret Service came up from behind and asked everyone to leave. They had 4 guards on the roof of the WH with rifles awaiting the arrival of G W's motorcade. Within minutes there were helicopters swarming over the skies and there were cops everywhere. The presence of police was very non schalant. It is not like there was just a crowd of them, you would be walking and there would be one next to a tree with a duffel bag, then one would go by on a bike, then a cop car at the street corner. Must say I was very impressed with their ninja like presence. I am pretty sure I saw a shrub following us, but I couldn't catch him moving. I was very suspicious when I saw it on the Metro with us. It was just there, everywhere. It was like G W is on his way, everyone gets a shrub with a gun following them. I keed, I keed, I joke with you. But I had ya going didn't I? I haven't been extremely busy but I have just been to lazy. A good friend of mine and his wife had thier baby. Boy what a responsibility that must be. Well it seems his in the process to become a firefighter, and it makes me happy to see him finally reaching for his life long goal.

My cousin and I have been working on the gables again. He was out of town for spring break and I had been enjoying my weekends, but now it is back to business. It is a chore having a home, always something to be done. And that doesn't count all the upcoming changes that the wife has in store for the house. We moved in 15 months ago and it has been a chore since day 1. If the people that were in the house before us had done anything, and I mean anything, it would not have been such a task to take on. But it is coming along nicely and the house is way better than it used to be. The alternative is a new house with no property and a much higher mortgage. I think I am fine where I am at.

The car is coming along. I had to solder the MAF and air temp ground wires back to the sensors. There was a recommendation from the dealer a while back that grounding these wires to the chasis would improve thier signal. Well now with the introduction of grounding kits and the importance of proper grounds, I had added large 4 gauge power and ground to the alternator and 2 gauge grounds to the engine and frame. Also added 10 gauge grounds to the valve cover and transmission. This brought ground resistance over the entire engine compartment down to less than 1 ohm. By using larger wire, more energy with a cleaner signal can be moved faster over the same distance. This makes the sensor readings more accurate due the less voltage fluctuation, and with stabilized and accurate sensor your car makes better use of the incoming air and voltage charge. This can equate to more power and better gas mileage. I am not in the game for MPG, I am in it to go faster.

I had the car on the dyno 2 weeks ago. It came in a little underpowered due to inaccurate MAF readings and no fan blowing on the intake. The SAFC 2 has yet to be tuned. Without the bottle the car put down the average 135hp / 144tq at the wheels. On the bottle with the 55 shot she put down 173hp / 207 tq. I picked up lots of torque but the HP failed to gain the full 55hp, about 17hp short. With these numbers I have bested a 14.8 @ 95 mph in the 1/4 mile at Orlando Speedworld. This is right in line with the 2001-2004 Mustang GT (stock). I still need drag radials for traction as I burn through 1st and 2nd. I have changed out the interior a little also. The white face gauges are gone, but the backlights have been changed to hyper white and blue. I took apart my HVAC controls and Hazard assemblyto fix all the backlighting.

My nieghbor and myself went over to Bithlo to go "dumpster diving" as my wife calls it. It was actually salvage yards full of old wrecked cars. It is actually quite fun to walk around and see all the damage done to vehicles. A trip to a salvage yard is enough to keep anyone from buying a SUV as most (85%) of the ones we saw (400-500 SUV's) had rolled over. I managed to find some sunvisors for the Alty. They came from an Infiniti J30, but they fit pretty well and they are almost new, not bad considering out of 40 Altimas none of them still had visors in them.

On a final note, I seem to have found an old high school friend's blog. http://spectordan.blogspot.com/ I haven't talked to him in about 6 or 7 years. He seems to be doing quite well as he has a Bachelor's and Master's in music. I guess I will drop him a line in the next few days. Sure has. I have been working on the house lately, as hurricane season quickly approaches, the weekends seem to come and go so quick. We are replacing all of the wood at the gables of the roof. The old stuff has warped, so with some effort it is being slowly taken down and replaced. We choose to use Hardi Panels Sierra 8 for the replacement for several reasons. One, it was actually cheaper than new plywood, two, it never warps, shrinks or cracks, so I should never have to do this again. Oh and not to mention the 50 year warranty. Here is the kicker, when cutting this man made stuff do not bother with futuristic tools such as a jigsaw, circular saw, or rotozip. It will simply burn up and dull you blades within a few short inches, trust me I know. Instead, go old school with a razor knife. A simple score and snap will be efficient, belive it or not. The stuff looks 1000% better and once its painted, the house will look refreshed. And by the way, it is heavy, very heavy, especially when you are trying to hold it above your head.

Since my last installment I have purchased, attempted to install and returned a Fuel Pressure Regulator for the Alty. It was not returned because I couldn't do it, it was returned because it failed to function properly. It was supposed to be adjustable from 20-85 psi. It would not go lower than 50 psi. This poses a problem when I only need 34-36psi. Not to mention the product itself was not very professional looking. So instead of using some off brand, I spent the extra and purchased a quality Nismo FPR. To bring you up to speed, Nismo is Nissan's racing division. So this piece has been tested and built for the Altima by Nissan. Doesn't seem to get much better than that. Hopefully it will arrive before the weekend so I may have it installed to go to the track in the next few weeks. It is not a hard install but it does require the removal of the Fuel Rail, but I have had it off twice now, so I should be all done in about an hour. After this I will have hit another plateau in performance. I am limited, by choice, to only a 55 shot with the juice until I have installed a Digital 6 by MSD. Once that is purchased, will be several months, I will rejet the N2O for 75 and shoot to break into the 13's, anything 13.99 or quicker is fine by me.

Just want to throw in another plug for TJ and Ian at Trick Pro. These guys are awesome. If you need anything car wise, be it performance or a tune up these 2 will make you feel right at home. It has started to slightly double image things, around the outside. Is it too bad to look at? No, but it is a common failure for the Epson Powerlite 5500c. Can it be fixed? Sure, for about $1000 in parts and labor. So what's the solution? Buy a new one. Ended up with the Dell 2200MP. It is the best out there? Nope, but I can afford it and that is all that really matters. Plus it is better than not having one. Dell had it on sale, and this is what tax returns are for, bonus purchases.

The wrist is healing well, except I cut it the other way yesterday on a Zodiaq top. That really increased my fun level for the day.

Had to order a new adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR). With the new high flow pump the old (160,000 miles) FPR just can't hold down the pressure. I keep getting a Check Engine Light for the fuel system. Seems I have about 7 psi to much. This would explain the really rich readings on the A/F gauge lately and the fuel smell in the exhaust. I also put my inline fuel pressure gauge back in, but the new adjustable FPR will have a built in gauge so I don't think I need 2 gauges. Pics to come when the install is complete. Now I only long for a MSD Digital 6 to be able to retard the timing when the juice is on and advanced timing when it is off. Oh well, to dream. I asure you it was not. I was reaching around the backseat bracket (as the fuel pump is accesible under the rear seat), attempting to remove fuel lines that have never been removed since 1995. I slipped and the bracket taught me a lesson. Now I am 6 days into the healing process. Why is it that you want to remove the scab from the wound? I know it is a part of the healing process, but I removed it once on Tuesday and want to remove it again. It does not cause pain, as I am no friend of pain anyway. It is just there, for the removal. At least I cleaned it out really well after I removed the scab, and it appears to be healing faster (more likely than not I am making that up). I have a photo of the injury right after it happened, I had the camera in the car to document the pump install for Altimas.net. The photo is a bit fuzzy, maybe due to the fact I just scared the crap out of myself. I will add the photo when I get home. Photo Click HERE.

The weekend is beginning to look busy. I have a stereo install for my mother-in-law, then we are trying to find a squeak in the father-in-laws Vette, and finally measure the yard for new fence. Have some computer work to do for some friends, and I want to make the Cars for Charity Show in Melbourne on Sunday. Plus I just came across an Nvidia Quadro 4 128 mb video card. They are intended for rendering CAD, but I have benchmarked my current MX 440 and will compare it to the Quadro this weekend. Plus I have yet to open up the car with the new tires, fuel pump, and N20 refill. A day when men can either make or break themselves for their actions during the past 364 days. Me, I had roses sent to my wife at work, and with an office full of women, I know I wiped my slate clean. To my wife: I Love You more and more each day. We have had our share of ups and downs. You helped make me the man I am today and for that I am forever grateful. This is our 2nd Valentine's Day as a married couple, and if I have anything to do with it, we have many, many more to come. I Love You.

My new Walbro fuel pump has been installed. I picked up a nice war wound during the installation, it looks like I tried to slit my wrist, but it's healing nicely. Note to self: gasoline doesn't do well with cuts. I am not sure which was worse the initial wound, or the hydrogen peroxide. I must say that working around metal and gasoline/fumes has by far been the most nerve racking thing I have done, and I have never been so careful during my life. But now that's in, and the tires are on, I think it just may be time to turn up the juice, maybe.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day that I felt some yard work was in order. I removed about 35 feet of old chain link fence that will be getting replaced by privacy fence. Then I removed 2 large tangerine trees to make way for the new fence. It really opened up the side of the house and it looks much better than having the trees there. At the same time my neighbor was cutting down a large tree in his backyard when his brother hit his hand with the chainsaw. Lucky him he just lost some meat behind his knuckle and took 18 stitches. Just missed the nerves and tendons. He delivers for FedEx so I assume the next few weeks will be very long. Cut the grass as the weeds were extremely tall. The grass goes dormant here for the winter (which we don't really have) but those weeds grow year round. So when you pull up to the house there appears to be several small trees growing in the yard, so I just run them down with the lawn mower. It really cleans up the look of the yard anyway. So with the fuel and tires maybe, just maybe I'll turn up the juice. Also I installed a new Raptor Performance shift light. I had the wife's whip, a 2003 Jet Black Tiburon (Tuscani). I came into the turn quick and braked hard, this asked to much of the factory tires, the car engages into a B E A utiful sideways slide. I toss in a quick counter steer and some braking, car hooks, tires squeal and away I go. Damn I was amazed the car slid perfectly sideways, nose and rear together in align, that car has great factory performance suspension. I only slid about 5-7 feet in fear of formally meeting the Full Size Dually I was sharing turn lanes with. My co-worker instantly emits a high pitch giggle and she said that was cool. Now this was definitely not done on purpose so I didn't intentionally put ourselves in harm, but sometimes things happen. It was a good thing it was a co-worker and not my wife or I wouldn't be able to share this story with you. Been a little busy around the house doing some cleaning and organizing. Had to clean out my Florida room, I was up to my eyes in stuff, so I tossed out a bunch of old junk. We have been looking around for another Altima for me. I really love my 1st gen design. I really want a 1994 SE model. The SE is equipped with sunroof, spoiler, 4 wheel disc brakes, and side skirts. Plus it has the lower final transmission gear for slightly quicker acceleration. I am trying to find one that was LSD equipped from the factory as it runs about $1000 aftermarket. So I will take everything that is aftermarket on my car and swap it to the "new" car. Plus most of the one's I have looked at have less than 100,000 miles. That is good since I have about 160,000 miles. I will keep the drive train from my car, and part out the rest of it to help offset the cost of the other one.

Upcoming movies: Afraid of the Dark, Bogeyman, and Hide and Seek. This seems to be the scary movie time of the year. Already saw Darkness and White Noise. Both movies could have been better if they would have elaborated on the background story. Have yet to see Elektra because the wife doesn't want to see Jennifer Garner in tight clothes as much as I do. Plus it looks to have some good effects with the characters.

Been busy at work. Trying to price stone manufacturing equipment and fork lifts. These salesmen are like sharks, a little blood in the water and they all attack. They have a hard time understanding that we will be buying once we have competitive pricing from all of our sources, then we have to get financing for all of the equipment, kind of at the mercy of the banks timing. Oh well they just want to make a buck or two. The story goes a little something like this:

Evans birth parents put him up for adoption, a nice Florida family takes him in, something goes wrong in the adoption process and at 3 1/2 Evan is ripped from his home and given back to his birth mother. For the full story: http://www.bloggingbaby.com/entry/1234000283027758/

Here is what kills me, at the end of the news cast they close with his birth mother saying that Evan is finally home where he belongs. Oh hell no! Did she just say that? I rewind the DVR, and listen again, I can't believe my ears. You gave him up for adoption, I don't care what your reasoning was at the time. You didn't have the balls to raise him then, why would you care enough about him now? Oh I know, because his birth father filed for custody. This was some feeble attempt to hurt his birth father. All the woman managed to do was tear her baby away from his "HOME" ( and yes, that is his home, always will be his home) and destroy the lives of the Scott family, who so graciously took Evan lovingly into their arms as a child, an unwanted child. I can not believe that birth mother had the gall to say that on national TV. How dare you? Who do you think you are? If there is any confusion, I will clear it up. You are nothing short of a monster and you are far from deserving of this or any child, ever.

To Evan Scott: I can only hope that the court never seals the documents of your early childhood. I hope that someday you get to read up on why your name was a national headline in 2005. I also hope that you never lose contact with the Scotts and if your birth mother has anything to do with it, you probably won't know them until you look into your past. And when you do find them and your history I hope you have the balls to tell your birth mother what a monster she truly is.

To The Birth Mother: I truly do not believe you are educated enough to understand fully what you are doing. I also do not think ignorance is an excuse. In a feeble attempt to gain the upper hand on your ex, you quite possibly may have ruined your own son for the rest of his life. The only lessons he will learn from you are these: It is okay to quit and give up, and being shallow is not all that bad.

To The Scott Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you always. During the darkest hour in your life there is always a light somewhere. Just never stop looking for it, when you do you will be consumed by that darkness. Continue to fight everyday for what is yours, Evan. May you have the strength, encouragement, and legal ability to continue this fight.

I also understand there is some legal mumbo jumbo that says this could have always been a possibility. My thoughts expressed here are concerned with the morality of this fight, not the justice system, that's another story for another day. I ran across a 240sx that was ready to go, but with the wife in the car it wasn't going to happen, so I waved to him and felt my pride slowly diminish. Went and saw Darkness over the weekend. Not a bad movie but had they taken more time and gone into move detail with the story I think it could have been a hell of a lot scarier. It deals with the fact that so many people are afraid of the dark, and they could have done a better job on that. My cousin left the theater and was pretty shaken. Apparently small children whispering creepy s*it in the dark makes him uneasy. So last night while he studied for school, I took my house key and scratched at his window. I am pretty sure he has never moved that fast in his life.

The 3 frogs seem to be doing okay. The big one keeps getting larger and they baby just stays the same size no matter how much he eats.

Question: Do large people not know when their shorts are being devoured by their butt cheeks?

We have someone at work, and on Thursday this someone's shorts was clearly being eaten by their butt. It was so bad the shorts were tight in the front and pulling up, restricting circulation to the legs. On Friday this someone arrives in the same shorts in a worse condition. I am to assume there was a struggle with the butt cheeks and they gave up the fight, leaving the shorts in a half eaten matter. I waited all day for this someone to come to the office and ask for a crowbar and some help in getting out of this situation so they could enjoy a less restricted weekend, but to no avail. They didn't show today either, guess there was a massive power struggle over the weekend, and maybe the cheeks have won again? If I ever run for office or get arrested I will deny the following to the bitter end. Disclaimer: I do not condone street racing, nor have I participated in it for well over a year, I try and keep it to the track.

Background: Last week I had to replace my starter, the car sat for a month until I had time and money. In November I installed a ZEX Nitrous Oxide (N2O) system into my car. I have made it to the track twice since the install, my fastest was a 14.8 @ 95 mph with a 2.5 60'. This puts me into Mustang GT territory, and a notch outside of chasing down older Corvettes up to 2001. On Saturday I was on my way to the grandparents house to do the roof, when I came across the CSI. He pulled onto the road gave a 1-2 shift and barked the tires. The chase begins. I got in behind him at the next light, lucky for me I had opened the bottle before I left the house. The light turns and he zips away from the light, to his surprise I was right behind him. After a mile I decided I would turn around and head home. I turned around and began to head home when I heard him coming up fast, the racing Gods have smiled upon me. He got about a 2 carlength jump on me when I joined in. Top of second I closed the gap, top of third I was walking on by, and 1/2 way through fourth I called it quits with me at 3 carlengths ahead at about 122 mph. <--- I'll never admit to that speed HA HA. We also got to run from the next street light. At the green I put 6 carlengths on him out of the hole. Because the CSI only makes 112 ft-lbs of torque, it is slow from a stop, but they pull hard and make up ground after 60 mph. With the juice the Altima makes over 210 ft-lbs of torque, so from a stop he didn't stand much of a chance.

Here are some numbers to help you understand the above. The CSI weighs in at a paltry 2612 lbs, putting out 160 horsepower (HP). This means that each HP produced has to move 16.3 lbs of the car. My 1995 Altima weighs in at 2829 lbs, making 150 HP. That means each of my HP has to move 18.9 lbs. This puts me at a disadvantage. Now enter the N2O, that gives me an additional 55 HP, bringing my total up to 205hp. Now I only have to move 13.8 lbs per HP. Advantage ---> ME, so I win.

***Please don't bother with your anti-street racing bull*hit as it will fall on deaf ears, it is not that I am immature or simply do not care, it is just that I will argue circles around you, and when I am through you will have forgotten what your argument even was. I am well aware of the effects of dangerous driving, but most of you talk on the phone while driving, and I know plenty of you fuc*ers drink and drive, so he/she without sin cast the first stone.***

No Title Today.

Well it appears that my frog died from ingesting some substrait from his tank. And since frogs seem to have a hard time digesting Spanish Moss I have removed all of it from the tank. The other night we were entering the mall when I noticed a frog in the street, so I walked him across the street to the bushes, my wife think's I'm crazy and I probably am. My Aunt and Uncle leave in the morning to return to Africa. They work with the Feed The Children program in Kenya. So far they have arranged feeding for about 25,000 children in the local schools. I admire thier ability to be surrounded by death, disease, and poverty and help thousands of those we can't help themself. The average lifespan there ends at about 42. That would mean that all of my adult family would be dead and I would have less than half on my own remaining, kinda scary.

My cousin that lives with us started his Nursing classes yesterday. He is the son of my departing Aunt and Uncle. He also shares the same affinity for firearms as I do. This kid loves blood and guts. He wants to start in Trauma and work his way up to big $$$. I know he is going places in the Medical field because he simply can't get enough. He is like a medical garbage disposal, just keep feeding him blood and guts and he eats it right up. It made for a very sad evening. Currently these are our children. Background story:

A few months ago we had a rash of hurricanes pass right through our area. All of the debris clogged the street gutters for weeks, leaving them filled with water. This standing water combined with all the rain we kept getting must have made for some romantic evenings for all local frogs. One day one the wat to the mailbox I discovered the water in the gutters would move when I got near. Upon closer inspection I saw there were hundreds of itty bitty tadpoles and many eggs in the water. I took it upon myself to rescue about 300 tadpoles and several dozen eggs from the death they would soon embrace when the water evaporated. I spent the next 2 months caring, feeding, watering and protecting the tadpoles as they grew into about 150 frogs. Now I said I rescued over 300 total but nature has a way of feeding itself. Near the end of this parenting I decided that we would keep 4 baby frogs, less than an inch in length, and watch them become adult Tree frogs.

So here we are about three months later, the frogs have a tank, watering holes, places to hide, warmth, moisture, and they get fed these tiny little crickets known as pinheads. Watching them eat is by far the most fun. We have watched them training to hunt, sometimes they jump on the cricket, sometimes they miss. Boy do they eat a lot at one time, sometimes upto 3 or 4 crickets at once and they eat them whole. So these frogs are our 4, now 3, children. They are much easier than the real thing and although I am very sad my frog is gone and a little piece of me is gone, at least it was just a pet and not the real deal. I helped my grandparents shingle the roof that was battered by 3 hurricanes. Went to my neighbor's birthday party for his son. He turned 4 and man is that kid a riot. Had us laughing the whole time. If kids didn't grow up into people like me, I might have some. It is like kittens for me. I love kittens and can't stand cats, except for Kisse. She was our hairless cat that passed almost one year ago today. I swear she was more like a dog than a cat. Took down a Civic SI w/ bolt-ons (more on that to come later). Never made it to the range though. So I am sitting on 150 rounds, 100 JHP and 50 FMJ, to expend on paper people. Sold my friends rims on Ebay, made some side cash. Now it is the Sunday nite routine of preparing for the week to come. I hate this part of the weekend, as soon as you go to sleep the job awaits you. Now I love my job, but I never have enough time on the weekends to get stuff done as it is, imagine if I had kids. Now it is off to laundry. A woman driving an earth destroyer, chrushed a 14 year old boy while driving with a revoked license. The woman had her license taken away because of her Epileptic Seizures. Now first off I HATE SUV's. They serve no useful purpose. Most of the time they only have 1 occupant, they get awful gas mileage, and they are too large for consumers to be rolling around in. I can not stress how much I dislike their presence on the road. Most of them seem to be driven by soccer mom's as a show of status. Not enough people have enough children to warrant the mass production of these huge wastes of metal and plastics. What happened to the days of a woman wanting a Lexus or BMW to show off in? I drive a 4 door vehicle that is large enough for 2 adults, 3 children and still gets 25 mpg around town, and is 11 years old.

Now what does a woman with a revoked license need a new Chevy Suburban for? She had a seizure while driving, hits a 14 year old boy, smashes him thru a concrete wall and his body lie 20 feet from the SUV. All of this happens with his sister and friends right there. I think it is unfortunate that the woman lived. I think now she should be brought up on Murder charges. I understand that she did not premeditate to kill this young boy, but she knowingly and willingly got into her vehicle, with a history of seizures, and drove to wherever she had to go. I hope she can justify to the boys family that getting to wherever she had to be was of much greater importance than his life. Driving is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. She had a medical condition that warranted the state to revoke her privilege to drive. These are the reasons we have the laws we have. To protect people. They are not there to inconvenience you, although some times they may, they are there because a governing body (whom you elect) thinks that this is best for not only your protection but everyones. But none of this mattered to her. She jumped into a 5474 lb vehicle + her history of seizures = DEADLY WEAPON. This is reason enough, to me, to make an example out of her. I say fire up Old Sparky and give her a seat that she will never forget. You may disagree with me but that is the best part of America, Freedom Of Speech.

Disclaimer: I am not saying that had she would have been driving a car, the outcome would have been different. This was just more fuel for my fire against SUV's. I began shooting casually at The Gun Site on Merritt Island about 2 years ago. I always rented guns from them, ranging from 9mm to 45 ACP, and have fired a lot in between. As far as firepower goes the Ruger 44 Magnum I fired was a hoot. Talk about a kick, a flash as big as a basketball and as bright as the sun. It left "spots" in my vision for a few minutes. Although I prefer to have a magazine over a revolver any day. I like to have lots of ammo in my gun. I like my "victims" to look like swiss cheese when I am done. I also must mention if you get a chance to shot at the Police Hall of Fame in Titusville I would recommend it. It is a little more pricey and is out of the way, but the targets are automated. They can hide, spin and run. Makes for tons of fun.

On to my personal firearm. I shopped and researched for about 6 months before making a purchase. I had a fairly limited budget as the wife wouldn't allow me to spend $800 to $1000 on the guns I really wanted, like:
http://www.glock.com/g18.htm
http://www.glock.com/g17.htm (with compensator)
http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/handguns/usp.html (smoothest factory trigger ever)

There really is a lot to choose from in the in-expensive but reliable category. After much reading of tests conducted by Gun magazines I realized there was only one manufacturer for me: Hi-Point. http://www.mkssupply.com/ I purchased the 9mm Comp pistol. It arrived with extra sights, 8 and 10 round magazines, and trigger lock. Hi-Point tells me they are working on a 15 round mag also.

I cannot say enough good things about this gun. The trigger pull is a little heavy, but I have gotten used to it. I have put about 700 rounds through it with only one cartridge jam in the eject window, but it cleared very easily but pulling the slide. I have put a mix of FMJ and JHP rounds through it. It feeds as fast as you can pull the trigger. All of this only cost me $165 out the door. The compensator makes a difference, it keeps the gun from jumping up as much, allowing you to level faster and align for your next round.

The wife enjoys shooting .38's. She says it doesn't kick as hard. She is getting better with every visit. In the beginning you could stand 25 feet in front of her and she wouldn't scratch you. Now, she is gonna shoot you in the head or chest 9 out of 10 times. She saves the 10th one for the crotch, OUCH!

Now I have given my sales pitch for my Hi-Point and now you should go and buy one. Besides, a Lifetime Warranty on every inch of the gun is real nice.

My Very First Blogging...

It's offical. I now have my own virtual journal. Thanks to Dave for the info and ecouragement to start something.

A little background on me:

I am a 6'5" 24 year old male. You can call me Johnny Z. I have been married almost 2 years, and and have been with my beautiful wife for 7 years. I met her right after high school, she was just a youngin', and have been in love from day one. I love cars and technology, I have also been a geek from day 1. My brother got the looks and I got the brains, fair trade I guess. I refuse to look like the typical geek, so I try to dress "in" with no pocket protector and I don't have glasses as I have perfect vision.

I have obtained my AS degree in Network Technology (geek) and am currently employed at Space Coast Marble, Inc. working for some of the most fantastic employeers I have ever had. I enjoy my job greatly and have the added bonus of working in the same building as my wife, but not in the same office (I mean you can only take so much of one person on a daily basis, but I Love her greatly).

I spend time working on my car and working on the house. I love movies (I have a projector for watching them at 112" on my wall) because it's a good escape from reality. Some people say the same about books, I never really liked to read. I purchased my first hand gun about 3 months ago and been a frequent visitor to the range. I have a natural ability for shooting, but I have been fine tuning. I love it, it's a great rush, and besides (Mr.T) I pitty the fool who breaks into my home (/Mr.T). The wife also shoots when we go to the range; let me say it's HOT to watch a woman with a firearm.

I think that's enough to get you started, I'll add more in the days to come.

Some links:

http://www.spacecoastmarble.com (My workplace)
http://www.nissanclub.com (I have a 1st Gen Altima)
http://daveshangar.blogspot.com/ (Dave's Blog)
